Analysis of Product Selection

When selecting RFID tags for use in waste management, choosing the appropriate face material, chip, antenna and adhesive material is key to ensuring that the tag can work effectively and adapt to harsh environmental conditions. The following factors should be considered:

1. Surface material: Since there may be high humidity, dust, contact with chemicals, etc. in the waste processing environment, corrosion-resistant, waterproof, moisture-proof, and wear-resistant materials should be used as surface materials. For example, you can choose PET, which has good tear and weather resistance and can withstand a certain degree of physical impact and chemical attack.

2. Chip: Considering that tags in waste management may be subject to impact, extrusion or wear, an RFID chip that is durable, does not consume much power, has suitable data storage capacity and read and write speed, and is cost-effective should be selected. Passive UHF chip such as Impinj M730, and NXP UCODE 8 are usable.

3. Antenna: Choose an RFID antenna suitable for the size and reading distance of the waste container. The material and design of the antenna must also have a certain mechanical strength and anti-extrusion ability to ensure that good signal transmission is maintained during waste collection, transportation and processing. And it will not fail due to external force.

4. Adhesive materials: adhesives need to have strong adhesion to ensure that RFID smart labels can be firmly attached to waste containers under various temperature and humidity conditions, also it should have good durability and be environmentally friendly. For example, suitable water-based adhesives, oil-based adhesives, or permanent pressure-sensitive adhesives designed for outdoor and harsh environments can be selected according to the conditions.
